Program Description

The Brooklyn Botanic Garden offers custom professional learning workshops for educators, as well as P-credit courses in partnership with the ASPDP. Custom workshops are tailored to support professional development goals in science and other areas of study. All options may include inquiry-based classroom activities, explorations of nature and plant communities, and guidance for hands-on "potting up" horticultural activities. Our current P-Credit course, "What Did a Plant Ever Do for You?", is an introduction to the science and art of botany and horticulture, utilizing plants and gardens at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. The course is grounded in CR-SE and our inquiry approach to teaching and learning.
