Join EEAC and NYU ECE alums in celebrating Mary Leou and her incredible career!
After four decades of growing environmental education in NYC, Dr. Mary Leou has retired from her role as Clinical Professor of Environmental Education and Director of the Environmental Conservation Education (ECE) Graduate Program at New York University.
Over her career, Mary earned numerous awards, grants, and publications while also serving as the Director of Education for City Parks Foundation, the Chair of the Environmental Education Advisory Council (EEAC) of NYC, and the founding Director of the Wallerstein Collaborative for Urban Environmental Education and Sustainability. Mary has inspired so many students and educators over the years, creating a long-lasting impact on the field of environmental education in NYC and beyond.
