EEAC Newsletter & Newsblog

The original EEAC Newsletters were printed on paper and mailed to EEAC members. The newsletters were eventually digitized and both versions, print and digital (as PDF files), were available to members.
Past print-only versions have been scanned and made available online, along with the digital/PDF versions β€” see Newsletters page for issues from 1978 to the present.

From 2021, EEAC began its blog (EEAC Newsblog) on its website, and we’ll be posting what were parts of the newsletter as individual blog posts. They may include articles, reports, projects, project updates, the chair’s message, and the life and work of those we recently lost. The blog posts may also include book reviews, lesson plans, member organization highlights, and highlights of people in the EE community.

With the start of the Newsblog (individual articles/items), the EEAC Newsletter will now be an email newsletter (compilation of recent Newsblog, other posts on the website and more) which will be sent occasionally (2 to 3 times per year). It will include briefs with links to recent blogs, upcoming events, partner news, offers to members, calls for contributions (such as, submitting ideas, designs or artwork for display posters, for the website, etc.), and calls for participation (to volunteer on projects and programs, and to nominate oneself and other members to the steering committee). The email newsletters will also be turned into PDF files in order to continue adding them to the newsletter archive.
The newsletter and blog is a publication of the Environmental Education Advisory Council (EEAC), a voluntary organization of educators, classroom teachers, administrators, and other professionals in active support of quality environmental education.
